AboutHere's my story: I am a passionate individual that loves helping people. This is what brought me to social work in college. After graduating, I worked in psychiatric residential centers and HIV/AIDS non-profits. It was through these experiences that I learned I love connecting with people and hearing their stories. After completing my masters in clinical social work, I worked as a group therapist in a day treatment center and then as an individual clinician at a community mental health center. I've had the privilege of working with clients in North Carolina, New England and the Tri-State area.
A yogi since college, I decided to pursue my 200 hour yoga teacher training. I believe what is good for the body is good for the mind and we cannot heal one without the other. This is why as a yoga teacher I emphasize yoga's benefits on mental health and well-being. I believe strongly in mindfulness and the incredible impact it can have on our everyday lives. When we are in the present, we are able to address what is right in front of us. Bottom line: I am in this work because I want to help you grow. Life can be hard but there are ways to heal and find joy. It would be a privilege to join you on your journey. |
