Trauma Focused Therapy

One of the greatest honors of my work is walking with clients through the hardest parts of their story and helping them reclaim their power, healing, and self-love. Trauma work lights me up—it’s where I’ve seen some of the most profound transformations. If you're at a place where you're ready to face what’s been tucked away, I’ll be right there beside you. We go at your pace, with patience, curiosity, and a gentle nudge when needed. I often ask: What might healing feel like?

My approach is integrative and collaborative. EMDR is one of my favorite tools—and often incredibly effective—but it’s just one option. You choose what fits. We might weave in mindfulness, somatic work, IFS, or tune into how the body holds past experiences. I believe there are no bad parts, no “wrong” reactions—just protective parts doing their best. Trauma distorts our sense of self, and a big part of this work is rediscovering the you that’s been there all along.

You’re not broken. You’re more than what happened to you—and healing is possible.

Areas of Focus

I offer trauma-informed support for those navigating a wide range of life experiences, including:

  • Abuse and neglect in childhood or adolescence
  • Survivors of incest and sexual assault
  • Experiences of bullying, manipulation, or grooming
  • Complex family dynamics, including emotional invalidation and enmeshment
  • Domestic violence (for those currently in safe living environments)
  • Exposure to violent crimes or acts of terrorism
  • Accidents, including car crashes and unexpected traumatic events
  • Medical trauma, invasive procedures, or prolonged hospitalization
  • Grief and loss, whether sudden or anticipatory
  • Natural disasters and displacement
  • Combat-related trauma in active service members and veterans
  • Vicarious trauma—especially among creatives, journalists, therapists, and frontline workers
  • Identity-based trauma, including LGBTQIA+ experiences of marginalization
  • Institutional or systemic harm, such as discrimination or betrayal by trusted systems
  • Spiritual or religious trauma
  • Disconnection from self due to chronic stress, burnout, or developmental trauma

No matter the shape of your story, I approach it with respect, care, and collaboration. Healing is possible—and your experience deserves to be met with gentleness and skill.
