Counseling For LGBTQIA+

These are challenging times for LGBTQIA+ individuals. The rise in harmful policies, public rhetoric, and threats to basic rights can take a significant emotional toll—whether through direct impact or the cumulative stress of simply trying to exist safely and authentically. Feelings of grief, anger, worry, or even hopelessness are valid responses in a world that often doesn't make space for you.

That’s why I offer a therapeutic space centered on safety, affirmation, and genuine care. A space where you can exhale. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I understand the healing that comes from being supported by someone with lived experience—and someone who knows the importance of preserving personal wellbeing while staying connected to collective resilience.

Together, we can explore the internal and external challenges you’re navigating: identity, relationships, trauma, pride, disconnection, joy. Whether you're unpacking family dynamics, navigating gender exploration, processing grief or discrimination, or simply searching for what wholeness means to you, this is a space where all of it is welcome.

I affirm all identities, expressions, and relationship structures—including open relationships, polyamory, chosen families, and nontraditional roles. You don’t need to explain or justify who you are here. Therapy with me is about honoring that truth and creating space to feel more at home in it.

Activism begins with self-care. Your healing matters—not just for you, but for all those you love, support, and inspire. Let’s honor that together.

Areas of Focus

  • Identity exploration, including gender, sexuality, and fluidity across time
  • Coming out at any age and the emotional layers that accompany it
  • Internalized shame and self-worth challenges
  • Navigating family rejection, estrangement, or complex dynamics
  • Healing from religious or spiritual trauma
  • Trauma related to discrimination, harassment, or hate-based violence
  • Exploring relationship structures, including open relationships, polyamory, and chosen family
  • Supporting queer creatives and performers in affirming their voice and artistic identity
  • Processing intersectional experiences of racism, ableism, and other systemic harm
  • Addressing anxiety, depression, or trauma through an LGBTQIA+-affirming lens
  • Coping with transphobia, homophobia, or biphobia—both overt and subtle
  • Finding community, connection, and self-understanding in transitional phases of life
  • Queer grief, joy, anger, and resilience—especially in response to sociopolitical stressors

This is a space where your truth is honored, your complexities are welcomed, and your healing is deeply supported. You deserve care that reflects who you are—and affirms all that you carry.
